Social Media Contractor

Location: Remote (Atlanta-based preferred)

This is a month-to-month contractor role. We’ll assess client load and internal bandwidth each month to determine if we need continued project support. Full-time employment is not guaranteed, but strong performers may be considered for ongoing or future work.

Contract Social Media Account Manager

Mo Social is seeking a project-based Social Media Account Manager to support our agency during seasonal or high-growth periods. This role is perfect for someone looking for freelance hours, flexibility, and the chance to work with a tight-knit team of creatives while managing high-quality client work.

This contract will run for one month with the possibility of extension depending on client volume and team capacity.

What You'll Do

You’ll manage social media deliverables for up to 4 clients, owning day-to-day execution and communication while reporting to senior managers.

Content Management

  • Build and refine monthly content calendars (Instagram and TikTok primarily)

  • Coordinate with our in-house team for photoshoots, reels, and content sourcing

  • Implement feedback and update deliverables accordingly

  • Use Mo Social-created assets to build content calendars in Later, including photos, videos, and carousels

Client Communication

  • Own light, ongoing communication with assigned clients (status updates, questions, approvals)

  • Route strategy-level or creative direction questions to our senior team as needed

  • Join weekly internal team syncs and project-based chats

Collaboration & Quality Assurance

  • Follow all internal QA and content guidelines before submitting deliverables

  • Communicate proactively with the internal team about timelines and needs

  • Flag delays, missing assets, or out-of-scope asks to your team lead quickly

Time Commitment & Tools

  • 8-12 hours per week

  • $25/hour (paid monthly)

  • Flexible schedule with deliverables due on set agency deadlines

  • Use of Google Drive, Later, Trello, Canva, and Teams

  • Atlanta-based, preferred if available to assist on occasional shoots (paid hourly)

Ideal Candidate

  • 2+ years of experience managing social media content for clients or brands

  • Ability to jump right in thanks to experience scheduling content calendars for clients

  • Strong writing, editing, and visual curation skills

  • Strength with Canva, creating Instagram Reels, and planning tools like Later

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated

  • Able to learn quickly, follow processes, and communicate clearly with a remote team

  • Understands the brand-driven, aesthetic-forward style of Mo Social
